This website contains a trip report of our 3 week vacation in Alaska, from
May 20 - June 11 2008. Below are the links to the day by day overview. The trip consisted of 2 parts. The first part involved the Kenai Peninsula and the second part involved touring in the central part of Alaska. We had decided to travel in spring period, so we could enjoy the snow and ice (what was left of it) and also make sure to be there outside peak season (both tourists and bugs). It took some months to prepare for this vacation, sorting out the places to visit, the vehicle to rent (car or RV). We have booked the flights, the first night hotel in Anchorage, the first night Anchorage campground and an RV. We had decided to travel in an RV, because the rate of the hotels was high and the number of hotels limited. You can either "follow my path", or jump directly to the area that you are interested in.
