| Day 13 - June 1, 2008 - Fairbanks, second day. For today, again not much was scheduled until the afternoon. We enjoyed breakfast outside in the warm sun. In the afternoon, we had booked an excursion to the Riverboat Discovery. This company was a sister company of our previous day El Dorado Gold mine. Again, it was a very nice afternoon, sitting on top on of the paddle wheel boat Discovery III, sailing along the Chena River until the Tanana river. On our way, we had demonstrations from bush pilots (both on river and sandbars), Husky Sleddog demonstration, Native Fish camp (including a guided tour by Angela) and Caribou Also , we witnessed the houses along the river. Free coffee and donuts was a big plus as well. If you can, you should go on this excursion, very entertaining!
