Day 22 - June 10, 2008 - Anchorage to Amsterdam

Our first flight of the night/day with Continental Airlines was from Anchorage to Seattle in a boeing 757. We were lucky to have a free middle seat, so 3 seats for the two of us.
After only a short flight (compared to the flights that would follow) at about 5:30 am we arrived in Seattle. We had a quick breakfast (we missed breakfast in the airplane) before we boarded our next flight to Newark Liberty airport.
This 737 flight was full, so no extra seats this time (and we needed them for some sleep so badly...).
After arriving in Newark, there was no gate available, so we had to park far away on the apron. Not so nice, because the outside temperatures was 95 F ( = 35 C). After getting baked in the airplane for about 15 minutes we proceeded to the gate (that was even hotter inside !).

To kill the 1.5 hours transfer time, we had a quick meal (go for the noodles, they are great).
After boarding the boeing 757 to Amsterdam, we were so lucky. First, we had 3 seats for the 2 of us but even better was that on the other side of the isle, the 3 seats were empty. As you will learn in air travel, get them while they are there.

So, It turned out to be a comfortable flight, sleep and lay down until breakfast.
The other good thing about this flight was, that this 757 had a complete new interior, with on demand video, adjustable headrests, all the things that were so bad in our flight from Amsterdam to Newark on day 1 of this trip.
