| Day 3 - May 22, 2008 - Anchorage to Kenai. After again a good night sleep (we noticed, during daytime it is nice and warm, but at night it gets much cooler), we headed for Kenai on the Kenai Peninsula. Our first stop was in Girdwood, where we went up Mount Alyeska. The tram ride was very nice, and the view on top was even better. The next stop was at Portage Glacier. Unfortunately, the visitor center was still closed for the winter, but the view at the glacier lake was great. Near Kenai, we had a shopping stop in Soldotna for some more food. Finally, we arrived at our Campsite, the Beluga Lookout. The view is superior, right at where the mouth of the Kenai River at Cook Inlet is.
