Day 5 - May 24, 2008 - Homer to Seward.

Our intention was to stay for 2 nights in Homer, but as there was a lot of wind, we changed our plans and decided to move on to Seward.
The whole day we drove in the rain and our first stop was in Soldotna for shopping and our first fuel tanking. On our way to Homer, we noticed that at the Fred Meyer store in Soldotna, the fuel was"cheap", only 4.26 per Gallon, compared up to 4.55 we had seen on other places on the Kenai Peninsula.
The good thing was, that the fuel pump switched off at only 75 us $. Later, we found out that this was because of the limitation of paying with a credit card. It turned out that the 17 gallons only filled up that tank until half full.
The campground in Seward was a self-serve campground. Pick your own spot and put the money in an steel pole in the ground.
After 5 PM, the rain stopped and a short walk to Seward took us to the small boat harbor. It was nice to watch how the fishermen showed their catch for the spectators.
