| Day 9 - May 28, 2008 - Denali National Park - first day. An early breakfast this day, our Shuttle bus into the Denali National Park was scheduled to leave at 8 am from the Wilderness Access Center . We had a full bus (many people from Taiwan from a cruise) so you can imagine how busy it is when the summer season starts. As it was early in the season, there were not many options to choose from; either the shuttle bus to the Toklat River or the Tundra Wildlife Tour, also to the Toklat river. We had picked the cheaper tour in the hop on, hop off shuttle bus. It worked out real fine, as nobody hopped off and also nobody hopped on and our driver had a good knowledge of the wildlife and the park. So, the 29,95 was a real bargain for the 6-7 hour tour. On our way, we did see a lot of wildlife: Moose, Wolf, Fox, Grizzly Bear, Dall Sheep, Caribou, Golden Eagle. The weather was changing rapidly. During those few hours, we were in sunshine, rain, snow and fog.
